Ballpoint Pen - Ducale

Ballpoint Pen PENS03 Ducale bronze ballpoint pen, in honour of the Doges and the splendid Venetian palace. The Doge’s Palace, built in the Gothic style, overlooks St. Mark’s Basin. It was formerly called the Doge’s Palace as it was the seat of the Doge. Although no longer inhabited, it is still the emblem and heart of Venice. Ducal ballpoint pen fits the pen holder dedicated to the Doges and the palace the most important in Venice.

The Doge’s Palace built in the Gothic style overlooks the San marco basin, it housed the heads of the Most Serene Republic of Venice and its rulers lived there until 1789. Formerly called the Doge’s Palace as it was the seat of the Doge, it has remained the symbol and heart of this wonderful city.

From the pencils of Bortoletti's Venetian art masters come the original designs of the Ducale pen, the lifeblood of the entire creative process. Secular symbols and customs of Venice meet modern taste, and find expression in the Doge’s pen. It is from the careful selection of symbols that are the result of collective memory, and their encounter with the present, that historical and modern design come together to create objects rich in history and personality.
