Turquoise Italian Calligraphy Ink - Hamburg Sophia

Good quality bottle of turquoise Italian calligraphy ink (30ml).

Back in 1922 the brothers Umberto and Luigi Mora founded the Chemical Products Company “Hamburg” in Milan with the production and sale of inks and fine arts colours. At the tum of the two wars, the company developed rapidly, arriving in 1935 with a catalogue of over 50 pages. The activity continues, focusing on constant attention to product quality, until 2007 when “Hamburg” became part of the Abralux Colori Beghè group. Precisely drawing on these traditional formulations and thanks to the collaboration of esteemed calligraphers, we are pleased to present you the “Hamburg” calligraphic inks. The care in the choice of raw materials and the attention during all the production phases, have allowed to obtain a high quality ink able to satisfy the most demanding calligrapher.

This particular intense Turquoise tells us about Sophia Loren and the sea of Sorrento, the setting of “Pane, Amore e...” one of the films that marked the history of Italian cinema.

This colour is rare to be found in inks and yet Bortoletti did it :) And I m glad they did it. Competes beautifully with other brands on the market, but this one stands out from the crowd.

I absolutely love this one. Unlike other inks, its doesn't bleed that much (although the bleeding situation depends on the paper as well). Very intense colour and rich. You can see the ink colour in all its splendour if you use a broad pen.
