Designed for practising the art of beautiful calligraphy, this refined set brings together wood, bronze, ink, and classic writing accessories in a way that reflects the taste and customs of bygone eras.

What is included in the set
This writing set comprises a wooden calligraphy dip pen, a glass inkwell with black ink, a bronze pen holder, a signature drier, and three antique nibs. Together, these elements create a complete desk ensemble for handwriting, display, and thoughtful gifting.
Wood and bronze with heritage character
Bronze and wood are the defining materials of the Steno set, giving it a warm, classic appearance inspired by traditional writing rooms and historic desk furnishings. The pen is crafted with care to create a balanced writing instrument that feels elegant in the hand and looks distinguished when displayed.
Lost-wax cast bronze detail
The calligraphy pen is expertly crafted by skilled Bortoletti artisans using the lost-wax casting process for its bronze detail. This traditional technique adds depth and character to the set, reinforcing its connection to Italian craftsmanship and decorative metalwork.
Inkwell with bronze screw cap
The inkwell is finished with a bronze screw cap and is designed to hold Hamburg calligraphy ink. This practical feature helps preserve the ink while adding to the set’s decorative appeal. The glass inkwell sits beautifully alongside the wooden pen and gives the whole set a balanced, cohesive appearance.
Pen holder and signature drier
A matching bronze pen holder and signature drier complete the set. Their original design and tapered shape evoke the elegance of times gone by, while also adding real usefulness to the writing experience. They help make the Steno set feel complete, practical, and visually distinctive on the desk.
Ideal for beautiful calligraphy and traditional desk use
The Steno set is an elegant choice for practising the art of beautiful calligraphy, writing important words, or simply enjoying the experience of traditional pen-and-ink writing. It is equally suited to regular desk use and decorative display, making it a versatile addition to a study, office, or writing table.

Hello Jozsef.
Thank you for asking. They would normally come with any nibs as packed / supplied by Bortoletti. But I can ensure the set you receive will have those nibs as shown in the picture. Just remember to let me know when you place your order.
Kind regards,
Jane Lappage
To change a nib in a Bortoletti dip pen, first pull the existing metal or glass nib straight out from the holder. If you are switching from a metal nib to a glass nib, you may also need to remove the small metal collar, or ferrule, from the tip of the holder using your fingernail. Once that is removed, slide the new nib into place and check that it is seated firmly and sitting straight so the ink flows properly.
