Terms and Services
Effective date: 5th February 2026
Welcome to Calligraphy Arts UK. These Terms & Services explain how our website works and the key information you need when you:
-
buy from our online calligraphy shop (pens, inks, nibs, paper, accessories, gift items and more)
-
book a workshop or online class
-
request a bespoke calligraphy commission or artwork
By using this website and placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Services, along with our Delivery, Privacy Policy and Website Terms & Conditions of Use pages.
1) About us
Calligraphy Arts UK is a UK-based calligraphy business and online shop. We supply carefully chosen calligraphy items and create hand-lettered work for customers, including bespoke commissions and artworks.
2) Product information and images
We work hard to photograph and describe items accurately. Please note:
-
colour variations can occur due to differences in screens/monitors
-
images shown on the website may be reduced in quality compared with original artwork/prints, and are shown for display purposes
-
where product options are available (e.g. size/format), you’ll find those choices on the product page
3) Greeting cards (sizes)
Where applicable, cards are supplied in two sizes:
-
Large A5 (14.8cm × 21.0cm)
-
Standard A6 (10.5cm × 14.8cm)
Available options and pricing are shown on each relevant product page.
4) Bespoke commissions and artworks
Bespoke work takes longer than off-the-shelf products. For commissions and artworks, we’ll agree:
-
the scope/design brief
-
timescales
-
pricing
before any work begins.
5) Orders and payments
When you place an order through our online shop you are confirming that the information you provide (including delivery address and contact details) is correct.
Payment methods shown at checkout are processed securely via our payment providers. We do not store full payment card details on our website.
6) Delivery and dispatch
Our shipping methods, carriers and packaging approach are described on our Delivery page. In summary, we use a range of services (such as Royal Mail and courier services) and package items appropriately—cards in sturdy packaging, and pens/inks/artwork in protective mailers or boxes. Please see Delivery for the most up-to-date details.
7) Returns, refunds and problems with an order
We want you to be happy with your purchase from our online calligraphy shop.
Returns window
You may return eligible items within 14 days of delivery, provided they are unused and in their original condition.
