All Bortoletti's inkwells are made from Italian Murano glass. The metal is high quality nickel-silver plated bronze.

The inkwells now come with ink contained in a separate bottle for safey during shipping. So your inkwell will never have contained ink and should be great for your purposes. If you still wish to order it, just let me know at the checkout comments box and I won't send the ink.
