Antique nib - Leonardt INEF

Original and antique dip pen nibs for writing, drawing and decorating. Bortoletti calligraphy nibs are compatible with all Bortoletti pens and perfect for a variety of scripts. Bortoletti fine point calligraphy nibs are expertly crafted to bring elegance and precision to your writing. Designed for use with all Bortoletti pens, these nibs are ideal for English cursive and other flowing scripts where subtle contrasts of light and dark strokes are essential.

The fine tip, combined with the flexibility of the slit, allows you to vary line width simply by adjusting pressure. Gentle strokes create delicate lines, while firmer pressure on the downstroke produces bold accents, giving your writing a rhythm and beauty unique to handcrafted calligraphy.

Inspired by the original design of quill pens, each nib carries forward centuries of tradition while being made to modern standards of reliability and performance. Before first use, the protective varnish should be removed by briefly passing the nib through a flame, ensuring smooth ink flow.

More than just a writing tool, a Bortoletti nib transforms calligraphy into an art form—combining precision, harmony, and expression in every letter.

How do you seal a silver lid on a jar with sealing wax?

    Hello Irene,

Thanks for asking. To seal a lid on a jar, you need to heat the end of the sealing wax with something like a kitchen lighter and carefully drip the melted wax over the area you want to seal. Then, while the wax is still warm, you can press your stamp.

Here is a video showing one method I found on YouTube:
