Welcome to my exciting 4-week online calligraphy class! Using Zoom, we’ll dive into creative and practical projects that combine calligraphy and crafting, from crafting a stunning 3D star gift tag to designing cards with flourishes and metallic paints. Whether you're a beginner or looking to expand your creative toolkit, this class is perfect for learning new skills while creating beautiful, handmade items.

Creative Calligraphy: A 4-Week Journey into Artful Crafting & Lettering
Online Classes – 7:00pm to 8:00pm
Class Description
This class focuses on a unique project each week, blending calligraphy techniques with fun and artistic designs. Through live demonstrations and guided practice, you’ll gain confidence and hands-on experience to create stunning calligraphy projects by the end of the course.
4-Week Schedule
Week 1: Creating a 3D Star Gift Tag
- Introduction to the tools and materials.
- Step-by-step folding and assembling of a 3D star.
- Adding calligraphy details to personalize the tag.
Week 2: Designing a Greeting Card with Metallic Paint
- Tips for working with metallic paints on black card.
- Simple layouts for striking designs.
- Combining calligraphy and creative painting techniques for a professional finish.
Week 3: Learning Faux Calligraphy
- Understanding the basics of faux calligraphy with any pen or marker.
- Transforming simple handwriting into elegant calligraphy.
- Practice exercises to perfect your strokes and letterforms.
Week 4: Creating a Card with Calligraphy Flourishes
- Adding decorative flourishes to enhance calligraphy designs.
- Composing a beautiful card layout.
- Crafting a polished card to celebrate your progress.
What You’ll Need
- A list of tools and materials (provided upon signup).
- Access to Zoom and a stable internet connection.
- Optional: metallic paints, black card, markers, and decorative materials for added creativity.
Join us for this creative journey and elevate your calligraphy and crafting skills, one week at a time!
We'll be using Zoom and will send an invitation code once your booking has been accepted. Then on the date, use your computer or tablet to join me by clicking on the link sent to you. Simple.
Once you're online you can watch and learn in the comfort of your home. When the lesson has finished you can playback the class at leisure (I'll send a link afterwards) and practise further. You're welcome to email me with questions afterwards.
You can also use my private tuition services for one-to-one lessons to further advance your skills and knowledge if you wish. Just contact me.

Thanks for asking. To seal a lid on a jar, you need to heat the end of the sealing wax with something like a kitchen lighter and carefully drip the melted wax over the area you want to seal. Then, while the wax is still warm, you can press your stamp.
